Mr. Gardanier's practice focuses on patents and licensing. Prior to working at ALG, he gained significant experience working in-house with several leading hardware and software companies, including Altiris, Novell and Motorola, as well as working as a private practitioner with one of the nation's leading law firms. Mr. Gardanier has significant experience preparing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications in a wide-range of technical areas, including computer systems and software, electronic devices, liquid crystal displays, thin film transistors, semiconductor devices, and semiconductor wafer processing.

Mr. Gardanier also has extensive experience drafting and negotiating technology, software and Internet-related license agreements, and conducting intellectual property-related due diligence reviews in connection with both large and small transactions. He has lived and worked in Japan for over four years. While there, he had the unique experience of prosecuting patent applications, in Japanese, before the Japanese Patent Office.
